Network Organisation

To ensure continuing core activities, the WFTHN Steering Group, which consist of self-funding volunteers, have taken on particular responsibilities and meet several times a year to review and co-ordinate activities and new developments.

Membership is drawn from founding members and those volunteering or nominated at WFTHN meetings held at the biennial Doing Women’s Film and Television History conference.

Network Meetings

As well as committee meetings, the Network holds open caucus meetings at relevant events such as at our own conference bi-annual conference, Doing Women’s Film and Television History, Screen, MeCCSA, and Consoling Passions conferences, Women and the Silent Screen, and the British Silent Film Festival in order to publicise activity, reach a wider audience, broaden membership and seek new ideas.

Any group or individual can initiate a project under the banner of Women’s Film and Television History Network-UK/Ireland, using its online communications to publicly identify projects. Please contact  SG members, Lee-Jane Bennion (Education Liaison) ljbm@icloud.com and Janet McCabe (Events/Facebook Editor) j.mccabe@bbk.ac.uk to inform them.
